They all suck… no joke. I actually asked an expert medical/athletic examiner about this and he said that there aren’t any truly accurate and practical monitors you can use while running. Cycling may be different, but I couldn’t see why.

Like, yeah, like I was you know at Starbucks yesterday, and like, the cashier was like thinking she was sosyal and everything and was like totally giving me like a ‘tude. All the while she was like speaking english, I couldn’t help but like laugh coz her accent was soooooooooooooooo bad, like bad bad, like it made my ears bleed, but not really, but more like a small animal crawled in my ears and started like screeching like ZOMG, sooooooooooo annoying, yeah.

Anyhow, like she like handed me my change, still with a major ‘tude, I said to her, "Oooh, girl, you need to lay off the english, ‘coz english does not like FOBs like you—and you haven’t gotten on the boat yet and you’re already a FOB." And like I laughed and laughed until I got my venti double mocha frap. And you know I was like watching them nasty FOBs behind the counter making my drink just to make sure they didn’t like spit in my frap!

I say this since city police officers could easily be corrupted into allowing an assassination because the background check done on secret service applicants is far more thorough then the check on city and state police.

Yes, Secret Service agents are trained to watch Police Officers, but not for the reasons you have listed.

Police equipment – including official badges and uniforms – is occasionally stolen from time to time. Furthermore, it is possible to manufacture a uniform with readily available gear that is sold to the public.

For the most part, local police forces are an integrated part of the President’s security detail wherever he goes. There are advance details of agents that travel to the localities to work with local authorities setting up the plans.

The agents who are actually on the President’s detail are thus familar with where the Police Officers are *supposed* to be and what they should be doing. Therefore if someone was doing something contrary to the plan the agents have a chance to spot it and react.

I’m not sure what factual basis you are using to suggest that ‘city police officers could easily be corrupted’. Have you even one example in modern american history where a police officer has been bribed to allow an assasination attempt? Can you seriously imagine a police officer participating in such a scheme involving a person protected by the secret service?

I’m also not convinced that the background check on Secret Service agents is that much more in depth than the one done on police officers. I suppose that depends on the department. In my department I think you would be shocked to learn just how much money and time they are willing to invest in a background check. We even have *multiple* polygraph and psych tests to try and catch people who might ’slip through’.
